I spent 71/2 years in prison for sex with a teenage boy. The crime was consensual and was a 4th degree felony. I was sentenced to 18 years. The case was sent back by the federal appeals court and my attorney urged me to plead to an Alford plea and get out. I have been registering for 13 years as a SO and even though it is an ex-post facto law, I am required to register. Politicos will not speak our because it is a vote loser. According to a study done by the feds, only 6% of sex offenders reoffend in the first three years out of prison, yet we are persecuted and there are statistics that are pronounced by the Oprahs and Walshes with absolutely false figures. It is time that someone with your courage and abilities confront these people and make them cite their sources.
